Manilva and surroundings
Manilva is a municipality in the Andalusian autonomous community of Spain, on the coast between the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz. The Costa del Sol is rightfully its home. Due to its prime location at the mouth of the Mediterranean, Manilva has been inhabited continuously since the Stone Age. Recently, caves in the Sierra Utrera, a ridge of limestone that runs behind the town, have yielded artefacts that may be related to these pioneers. Whether religious, traditional, or contemporary, Manilva hosts a plethora of festivals and celebrations throughout the year.
