Anguilla is a British Overseas territory, placed in the Caribbean. It has an island of the same name that is 26 kms in length and 5kms in width. Also there are numerous small islands and cays in the region. The Valley is the capital of the island. The name of the island has been derived from various terms such as Anguila or Anguille that stand for ‘eel’. It is due to unique shape of this island. Due to same reasons, it was earlier known as Snake or Snake Island. It is worth noting that Anguilla is considered to be a famous tax haven.
