Oranjestad popularly known as Orange Town is the largest capital city of Aruba. It is situated near the western tip of the island county on the southern coast. Oranjestad is also referred to as “Playa” in the local language. The small parts of the city were formed from a sequence of expansions of land to the sea made by humans. The adjacent queen and present Renaissance Market Place belong to this expanded land area.
