The Grand Bahama Island lies to the northernmost province of Bahamas. This is the major closest island to United States, 53 miles off of Florida’s Palm Beach. Grand Bahama has 2,400 cay’s and 700 island in it and is the fourth biggest of the Bahamas island chain. It is approximately 95 miles long from east to west and 15 miles from north to the south. The island has districts of East Grand Bahama as well as West Grand Bahama along with Freeport Bonded Area in it.
