Bonaire is an island in the Caribbean and a part of the Netherlands, of which Kralendijk is the port and city capital. The name comes from the “coral reef” and this place is a paradise for snorkeling and diving. Kralendijk is accessible by a water taxi or through dive operators if you want to reach through the water. This place can also be reached by air, landing at the Flamingo Airport from where you travel a short distance to catch a water taxi. Bonaire lies south of the Caribbean off the Venezuelan Coast and are one of the island municipalities of the Netherlands.  The total area of this port city and capital is 294 sq. km and is a BSE Island among the three such islands. Large numbers of skeletons of corals can be found along the shores of Bonaire and the island of Bonaire basically stands upon coral reefs which are now dry. While the northern end of Bonaire mainly comprises the mountainous region, the southern region is flat and is almost level with the sea.
