Central Croatia is one of the historic regions of the republic of Croatia. This region is situated between Slavonia in the east, the Adriatic Sea in the west and Dalmatia is to the south. The border of this historic region is not very clear. Central Croatia is one of the most important economic areas. It contributes more that 50% of country's GDP. The capital of the country as well as this region is same that is Zagreb. It is the largest city and economically very important. Central Croatia has many smaller regions like Lika, Gorski Kotar etc. The major portion is part of Black sea drainage basin.
