Bras is a town in the VAR region of south-eastern France. It covers a total geographic area of about 34.93 sq.km. Bras is located 39 kilometres away from the capital city of Toulon. This delightful town is surrounded by dense forests of oak and pine on all sides. The forest area is a preferred hunting area for hunting down rabbits, wild boars and partridges. French is the official language used in the town.

History

The Chapel of Templar Knights was built during the 12th century. The town served as the venue for the military operation during the Battle of Pourrieres. The Roman civilizations existed during the re-historic and medieval period.

Bras has a mild and temperate climate all over the year. The average annual temperature is 13.1⁰C. The summers have high temperature with a maximum temperature of 21.4⁰C in July. Winters are extremely cold with a low temperature of 5.7⁰C. Frequent rainfall occurs during the winters. Summers usually remain dry with minimum rainfall of 18 mm in the month of July.
