Located in a beautiful surrounding, Cuers is a town or small village in the south-eastern France. It is situated in the Var subdivision of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur district. There are plains and hills around the city. It covers an area of 50.53 sq. km. The city is close to the Toulon and Hyeres. There are winding streets in the village that have old houses on their sides. It is an Old Provencal village. The local people are at liberty to reside by the beaches or even in the plain areas in an easy manner. The city has really a magnificent panorama offered by the unique blend of woods and plains. History

In the history of Cuers, the incident of September 1944 is very important. It was during this incident that French air base Cuers-Pierrefeu was used. The U.S. Navy blimp squadron 14 (ZP-14) and RAAF Supermarine Spitfire squadrons were responsible for using this air base.

The total population of the city is 9,674 as per 2006 census records. The population density in the city is 190 per sq.km.

Climate

Due to plenty of rainfall in the winter season, Cuers enjoys a warm and temperate climate. The climate here is considered to be Csa type in accordance with Koppen and Geiger classification system. Cuers has an average temperature of 14.3 °C. The average calculated temperature throughout the year is 14.7 °C. Talking about hottest and coldest months of the year, these are July and January at an average temperature of 2.1 °C and 7.4 °C in that order. The city receives an annual average rainfall of 721 mm. There is maximum average rainfall of 93mm in the month of November thereby making it the wettest month of the year. In the similar way, the month of July is the driest month as it receives the least amount of rainfall at an average of 12mm. The average rainfall differs by 81mm amid these two months.
