La Crau can be found between the Mounts Faron and Coundon in the west and the Maures Mountains in the east. Geographically, the town extends out on to the southern alluvial plains. Plains with flowers and vegetables lie to the south of the town. The entire area is well irrigated by the River Gapeau. The banks of this river are perfect for growing vegetables and fruits. History

The town of La Crau is not exactly historically significant. Still it draws in thousands of tourist every year. Tourists come to La Crau to check out the shady squares and old streets of the town. These structures are usually set up for boules games. Guests also come to La Crau to have a nice outing on the Gapeau River. Tourists also check out the view from the 300m high Mont Fenouillet.
