Le Lavandou is a popular commune of the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. It is located on the banks of Mediterranean Sea facing the Golden Island and on the foot of the Massif des Maures. The Hyeres and Cavalaire are the closest towns of this village within 20 km difference by road. The name is derives from the Lavender flower that is very common floret of this area. This village is located exactly at the spot where the famous ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’ was written in the 1939.
