Puget-Ville is a small town in the south-eastern France. It is located in the Var subdivision of the Provence- Alpes-Cote d’Azur area of the country. The city is expanded over an area of 36.83sq.km. History

The history of the city can be traced back to the 11th century when the foremost chapel named Saint Philomene was found. This chapel then existed in an ancient village known as City or Vilo at that time. Then the term Upper Town was used to denote this village. It was located at a height of 294m and remained the capital of the main town till the middle of 18th century. It remained to be a city till 1663 as described in the texts dating back to 1643 year. In the year 1654, a resolution was passed in the board meeting and the city came to be known as Puget. In the deed of St.-Victor from the year 1025, there is mention of the survival of this village. Possibly, the valley of Real Martin came under the possession of Abbey during the year 1000. At that time, the city was administered by a nominated board that assembled in the house called the Holy Spirit. An olive mill worked on the ground floor of this house where each rural settlement occupied one section. In the year 1554, a second flour mill was also set up on the second floor of this house in La Foux. By the year 1587, there was significant development in the city and it had a full-school. With the passage of time, advancements kept on taking place in the city so as to reach its current state.

In Puget-Ville, most of the rainfall is received during the winter season. That is why the city has warm and temperate climate. This type of climate is classified into Csb category in viewpoint of Koppen and Geiger classification system. The city receives an annual average rainfall of 736mm. Out of this, maximum precipitation occurs during the month of November. It is around 95mm on an average. In contrast to this, least amount of rainfall is received during the month of July. It is around 13mm on an average. The month of November is considered to be the wettest one whereas the month of July is believed to be the driest one. The difference of precipitation amid these two months is 82mm. The city has an average temperature of 14.0 °C. There is maximum temperature of 21.7 °C on an average during the month of July. Hence it is the hottest month of the year. On the other hand, January is the coldest month as it has the least temperature of around 7.1 °C on an average.
