Toulon is a municipality in the southern France. It is situated in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur district. It is the capital of the Var subdivision. It has a massive military port on the Mediterranean shore. Also there is an important French naval base. It is the fourth largest city on the Mediterranean coast in France. The city is known for naval construction, fishing, wine making and manufacturing of aeronautical equipment, armaments, tobacco, printing, maps, paper, shoes, and electronic equipment. It is spread over an area of 42.84sq.km.
