Pomerania is split between Poland and Germany and is the region on Southern shore of Baltic Sea, Central Europe. Coming from the Slavic ‘pro more’, the word ‘Pomerania’ implies ‘by the sea’. The place stretches from Recknitz River in west to Vistula River in east. Wolin, Rugen and Uznam are among the largest islands and Gdansk is the largest city here. The place, Pomerania, is dotted by lakes and characterized by farmlands, towns and forests. Being affected by Post World War I and II, you will find here pre-war inhabitants as well. Since the 13th century, the Southern boundary of Pomerania is placed towards the north.
