Santa Pola is a coastal city located in Alicante Spain. It is situated close to the Mediterranean Sea in the Comarca of Baix Vinalopo. Currently, it is considered to be a coastal fishing town with numerous tourist spots. It has an area of approx. 58.6sq.km. It is worth noting that this town got established on the remnants of a Roman village known as Portus Ilicitanus. It is known for salt evaporation pond called as salines.
