Catral is a city that is located on the southern end of the Alicante province. It is a town of the Valencian community in Spain. It lies in the region of Vega Baja Del Segura. It is a beautiful city that has still retained some ruins of the old Spanish civilization. Although advancements keep on taking place however it is still known for its cultural values. The city is known for its agricultural worth. It is due to cultivable land facilitated by irrigation from the Segura River. The city has abundance of trees including those of citrus fruits, artichokes, cereals and olive trees. There is some livestock as well. Also there are some industries that serve as the source of income for local people. These include textiles, food, hides, and furniture and construction industries.
