EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AGUILAR DE LA FRONTERA

Aguilar de la Frontera is a very pretty small town of approximately 13 thousand inhabitants and can be easily bypassed if one is travelling on the N331 linking Cordoba to Antequera. However, it is certainly worth taking a detour for, particularly when considering the interesting history and architecture of the town. For example, at the centre is a striking and unusual eight-sided plaza which is flanked by some impressive historic buildings. For the best views in town, head for the Peñon de Moro which is the site of the old castle and has wonderful panoramic views over Aguilar and the surrounding countryside.
