Among its most interesting monuments we must point out the 15th-century hermitage of Santa Eulalia de Mérida, built on top of a Roman temple and declared a National Monument because of its beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Saint James the Apostle, as well as the Gothic-Mudejar parish church of San Martín, from the 14th-16th centuries, with a Manueline main front.
