EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MONTEFRIO

The inland town of Montefrio is situated in the Andalusian territory of Granada, on the border of Cordoba. The enchanting whitewashed town is set in the middle of two antiquated churches, and encompassed by a scene of olive forests and harvest fields. Montefrio is a playful, well friendly destination, perfect for those searching for a country withdraw, with lots of space and fresh air, but not to far off the beaten track that you can’t visit the coast, or cities of Cordoba and Granada. The white-washed town is extremely lovely, with a Moorish vibe, and offers great amenities , for example, shops, bars and restaurants. The Iglesia de la Villa (church) is set over the town, yet is definitely justified even despite the lofty move to visit the fifteenth century building, which was developed on the site of an old Moorish château. The congregation is never again in benefit, yet there is history historical center inside, which introduces the historical backdrop of Montefrio.Down into the focal point of town is the pantheon-style Iglesia de la Encarnación, which was outlined by the notable neoclassical draftsman, Ventura Rodriguez. The archeological site of Penas de los Gitano is arranged only 7 kilometers from town, and presents confirmation of human settlements from Neolithic to Bronze Age times.Located in the same area are a Medieval citadel, a Roman fort and six water mills.
