It is home to more than 97,500 occupants".The town of San Fernando, often referred to as La Isla del Sur (the Island of the South), isn't really an island yet a little landmass, set within the dazzling setting of the Bay of Cadiz. Covering a region of approximately 30 km2, it is associated with Cadiz City by an eight kilometer segment of land and for centuries was connected on the rest of the mainland only by the Zuazo bridge.
