Andratx is a metropolitan area situated by the side of the Mediterranean east coast of Spain. It is located in Majorca or Mallorca which is one among the Balearic Islands in Spain. The exact location of the town is on the southwest side of the Sieerra De Tramontana on the island. There are several valleys in this area. There are mountains on the northern part of the town. The highest mountain in the area is 927 metres high. The town is spread over an area of 81.46sq.km. Tourism is the major industry and economic activity in the city. Some people also practice fishing and agriculture to earn their livelihood. Figs, carob, almonds and citrus fruits are among the major crops in the area. Also grapes are cultivated for production of “Santa Catarina” wine.
