The Alabama Dauphin Island is a small town in Alabama Mobile County of United States. The island got integrated in the year 1988. The Dauphin Island is included in Mobile metropolitan statistical area. The name got renamed for the great –grandson of Louis XIV, Dauphin. Gulf of Mexico lies on the south side of the island and it has Mobile Bay and Mississippi Sound to its north. The eastern end defines the orifice of the Mobile Bay.
In 2012 May, central public beach started charging for giving access. This made the second important beach of the Dauphin Island to collect charges from public.
