Inland Empire or I.E. is a province in Southern part of California. Inland Empire is used mainly to refer the cities of southwestern San Bernardino County and Western Riverside County. At the end of the nineteenth century Inland Empire was known for agriculture that includes dairy, wine-making and citrus. The developers who were residing in this area introduced this term for promoting the entire region and basically to highlight its unique features. The part inland present in the name is obtained from the location of region that is about sixty miles inland from Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles.
