The State of Montana is located in the Western region of United States. The name of the state was derived from the Spanish word‘montaña’ which means (mountain) and it is one of the several nicknames the Montana State has. The state is ranked 4th in terms of size, but 44th in population due to low density of population in the region. The western area of Montana has mountain ranges while the eastern half of Montana has western prairie terrain and badlands.
