Ohio is an eastern state in the United States, found in the Great Lakes region. The name of the state has been derived from the Ohio River found here. Columbus is the capital of the state. Also it is the largest city of Ohio. Due to presence of buckeye trees in the state, it was also referred to as Buckeye State in the past times.
