Patagonia is a district in Argentina. It is situated at the southern corner of South America. The district is shared both by Chile and Argentina. There are grasslands, Andes Mountains, desserts and plains in the district. Also, there are two coasts that are located towards the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean each. The district has got its name from the term ‘patagon’. It stands for the early human populations that once dwelled the lands. This place is known worldwide for some features that are absolutely identical to Antarctica. That is why it is sometimes referred to as ‘poor man’s Antarctica’ as well.
